Delamford Farmhouse is a privately run bed & breakfast situated in beautiful unspoilt surroundings, close to the border between South Ayrshire and Galloway. In this stunning location, Delamford proprietors Neil and Liz Gillon offer you their personal attention in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Transport right to the door from nearby airports or railway stations can be provided and if you are new to Ayrshire & Galloway, Neil will be happy to give you a tour of the surrounding area and arrange any outdoor activities you may wish to try.

Transport to and from any of the outdoor pursuits around Delamford can be arranged for you if you wish, as can packed lunches for your days out. A choice of home cooked farmhouse evening meals are available on your return, all made with local produce such as Scottish prime beef, prime lamb, locally caught fish and locally grown vegetables. There are plenty of things to do during your stay too, such as golfing, fishing, hill walking, cycling, Sheepdog Training, astronomy, and birdwatching so there is sure to be something to keep you busy. All these and more are available within a few miles of Delamford.

Hadyard Hill is right on our doorstep and on a clear day the view from the top, shown here on the right, is absolutely stunning. On the far side of the hill is a cave in which Robert The Bruce, King of Scots, reputedly took shelter while on route to do battle with the English forces of King Edward, just a few miles South of Delamford, at Glen Trool in 1307.

All this beautiful scenery and quiet peaceful surroundings, and yet, we are only a 30 minute drive from Prestwick International Airport where dozens of direct flights from London, Europe, and further afield come in to land on a daily basis. For those travelling by rail, Ayr station is around 25 minutes drive from Delamford.
